Hello, to all of my readers! My name is Amber Newman. I’m the owner and creator of A Creative Newmie.

I’m living with Cystic Fibrosis, a life threatening, hereditary, lung disease. I received a life saving double lung transplant on March 13, 2007, and four months later, a kidney, from my very own mother. I also have cystic fibrosis related diabetes controlled with an insulin pump, a feeding tube (MIC-KEY G-tube) for necessary daily nutrients, and wear cochlear implants due to hearing loss and deafness. Read about my life before and after my transplants.

My illness doesn’t stop me from achieving success. My ultimate goal is to inspire others to reach their full potential. You are designed for greatness! With hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, all things are possible when you believe.

Follow me during my creative mission, while discovering a renewed and improved YOU! Be strong and courageous with me to become better versions of yourselves or as I call it, a newmie. (new me)

My blog includes, a look into my current life-style, motivational messages, book reviews, giveaways, and interviews from those I admire the most. I also share occasional art’s and craft’s projects. My dad, who is a graphic designer inspires me to create my best work. No art is wasteful if you can say you put your time and effort into it. Practice makes progress!

Join me as we all make a difference with our unique, creative, souls.

  1. I’m inspired. I have an eight-month old nephew who has cystic fibrosis. Now, I can’t read enough of the stories of others who are living with this disease. You are all heroes. I hope your new year has started off well!

    1. Thank you so much for reading my story. I’m sorry to hear about your nephew. CF has come a long way! There are so many treatment developments and new medications. The future is bright!
