Hello, to all of my readers! My name is Amber Newman. I’m the owner and creator of A Creative Newmie.
I’m living with Cystic Fibrosis, a life threatening, hereditary lung disease. I received a life saving double lung transplant on March 13, 2007 and four months later, a kidney from my very own mother. I also have cystic fibrosis related diabetes controlled with an insulin pump, a feeding tube (MIC-KEY G-tube) for necessary daily nutrients and wear cochlear implants due to hearing loss and deafness. Read about my life before and after my transplants.
My illness doesn’t stop me from achieving success. My ultimate goal is to inspire others to create art through life’s hardships. With hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, all things are possible when you believe.
Join me during my creative mission, while discovering a renewed and improved YOU! Follow along with me, to become better versions of yourselves or as I call it, a new me. Learn through tutorials, tips and techniques. My speciality is paper crafting. I enjoy making projects, using materials from my favorite designer, Tim Holtz. My dad is a graphic designer and inspires me to create my best work. No art is bad if you can say you put your time and effort into it.
We can all make a difference with our unique, creative souls.
Much love and blessings,
