Let’s keep these new years resolutions rolling along! All you need for this project are magazines, poster board, scissors and a glue stick.
If you love cutting and pasting, (or in my case, taping) then this is right up your alley! The kids can even join in as well and make their own.
What is a vision board?
A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate, and maintain focus on a specific life goal. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do, or have in your life.
The new year is a perfect time for a vision board. Flip through and cut images and words from magazines that revolve around your new years resolutions. If you don’t have any magazines on hand check out Half Price Books, your local used bookstore, or ask family or neighbors if they would kindly recycle them to you. Do not buy new magazines, as it will make this project expensive when it doesn’t need to be. Let’s get started!
- Poster Board or Card Stock Paper
- Glue Stick or Doubled Sided Tape
- A Positive Attitude ♥
For my vision board I didn’t have poster board on hand, so I used three pages of 12 x 12 sheets of white card stock and lots of magazines, plus a mini devotional I’m finished reading. You might need a bigger size board depending on how big your images and words are. December and January issues will have many words you might be looking for. All my words and photos came from Women’s and Photography magazines. I quickly paged through everything and cut anything that instantly stood out to me. Once I had those pieces together I went through them once again for individual words. I attached everything to the paper using a scotch tape glider. A glue stick will work just as well. I framed mine and hung it right above my desk, so I can see it all year long!
I made three small vision boards, each with a different theme:

Enjoy the process! What will be on your vision board this year?
