The Highway to Happiness

The big question of the day is: Are you happy? I complied a list of questions to help you answer this. After reading the inquiry only you can determine weather you have truly lived at all. Look no further and discover the pure meaning behind an authentic, happy, life.

I’ve filled in my own answers to these questions below.

Who are you? I am a strong, fearless, godly, woman.

How would you describe yourself? Blessed, happy, motivated.

What is your purpose in life (why do you exist? What is your mission?) My purpose is to encourage others going through difficult times, create art through difficult times, and inspire others to do the same.

What are you passionate about? I love God, my family, giving advice and support, art, and writing.

What are your hopes and dreams? A lasting marriage, being a successful writer, buying our own home.

How can you pursue them? Daily communication, writing everyday, and saving money.

What has been your greatest accomplishment to date? Simply being alive.

What have you achieved this year? Accepted Jesus Christ as my savior, I created a blog, and I am happy!

Which achievements are you most proud of? All of them!

What are the most important things to you? My faith, my family, and my health.

Who is your mentor? God, my husband, my dad, and my grandma.

What is your favorite quote? She believed she could, so she did.

What are you grateful for? God, my donor, and my life.

What are your goals for the next three, five, and ten years? In three years I want to beat the fifty percent five year divorce rate, in five years I want a puppy, and in ten years I want to be a published writer.

Where are you living right now: the past, or present? After living in the past for longer than I anticipated, I’m proud to be currently living in the present. It’s a gift!

What are your top priorities in life right now? My health, growing in faith, my marriage, and my blog.

Who or what motivates you? The Lord, my family, my readers, books, television, and music.

Who are the top five people in your life? My husband, dad, mom, grandma, and sister.

Do they build you up or tear you down? All of them build me up!

What are your strengths? Writing, being creative, caring for others, and smiling,

What do you love about yourself? My creative talents, my ability to show compassion, and my eyes.

What makes you smile? Sunsets, my husband, church, dogs, reading, writing, art, the craft store, I could go on…

Have you made someone smile today? Yes, my aunt. I posted a funny video on her Facebook.

Who inspires you? Oprah Winfrey. She is completely selfless!

What has been your greatest act of kindness? I’ve written letters to my donor family, I’ve donated toys to children’s hospital during Christmas time, I’ve bought a meal for a homeless man.

Which book changed your outlook on life? Oola: For Women. Find Balance in an Unbalanced World.

For every experience: What are the biggest things you’ve learned? Don’t judge people for what you don’t know. Be kind. You don’t know what others are going through.

Who has had the greatest impact on your life? God and my husband.

When all is said and done: Will you have said more than you have done? I would say it’s about 50/50 at the moment. I’m working towards doing more, so I can say more.

Is family important to you? Ephesians 6:2 Honor your mother and father.

Does it really matter what others think of you? I don’t care what others think of me. If I can say I woke up today, and treated everyone with kindness and respect, then I can go to bed happy.

If you try to fail and succeed: Which have you done? You’ve failed, because you didn’t try to succeed to begin with.

Do you believe in karma? 2 Thessalonians 1:6 God is just: he will pay back trouble to those who trouble you.

What do you want others to remember you for at the end of your life? I was a lover of life, a motivator, a writer, and a believer.

Are you living the life you want right now? I’m confidently heading in the direction towards my dreams.

You are in control of your own happiness. If you’re not enjoying life, then try changing your life-style. Take up a new hobby, look for a new job, find new friends, quit a bad habit, talk to a psychologist. The possibilities are endless. You can’t expect positive results if you continue to repeat your unhappiness day after day. If you feel lost, ask God to show you the way.

I wish you all a smooth highway to happiness. Thanks for joining me during monday motivations.
